IBM and Equinix confirm cloud deal

[1] IBM and Equinix have formally announced that they will team up on a range of cloud computing initiatives.

[2] The deal will see them provide direct access to cloud services from IBM’s SoftLayer cloud subsidiary using Equinix data centers around the world, including Sydney.

[3]  Equinix will also enhance its Cloud Exchange, including API functionality that will ease the use if a single interface to the Cloud Exchange by service providers.
