Australians to get mobile phone coverage from Optus and Vodafone

[1] Optus and Vodafone are in the process of switching on 4G services in selected regional and holiday locations in Australia.

[2] Vodafone is already switching to next generation 4G+ plus services in Melbourne, while Optus has a go-ahead from the Australian authorities to switch on 4G 700MHz services early.

[3] 200 regional and holiday locations will benefit from the 4G network that will use low-band 850MHz spectrum with better reception, and works with iPhone 6 and 5 smartphones.
