Telstra teams up with Google to work on Project Loon

[1] Australian telco giant Telstra has teamed up with search engine giant Google to launch Project Loon that will be a big flight test project.

[2] 20 balloons that fly over western Queensland will be involved in the test this coming December which will be beaming 4G signals to base stations.

[3] Telstra’s role will to set up the base stations to receive the 4G signals. This project aims to come up with Wi-Fi powered balloons in the world.
