Unis’ key role in startup economy

[1] Based on a new report, universities play significant roles in Australia’s startup economy as founders are aiming to hire individuals with university qualifications.

[2] To be released today by Universities Australia, the report is aimed at opposing two perceptions, that formal education isn’t necessary for entrepreneurs, and that universities provide lesser engagement opportunities with the business world.

[3] UA chief executive Belinda Robinson said this report reiterates that universities are highly important in Australia’s largest job-creating sector, the startup economy.
