[1] According to figures released yesterday as part of ABS regular Internet Activity statistics, Australia posted its largest jump in data downloads on record in the months following the launch of Netflix.
[2] Australian fixed-line broadband users downloaded 1.35 million terabytes (or 1.35 exabytes) of data, representing 21 percent jump compared to the same three-month period last year.
[3] Since Netflix’s arrival in Australia in late March, the high rate of downloads in the months following the Netflix launch is the biggest increase recorded by the ABS since 2010.
