Startup tax exemption would encourage investors to “give it a go again” in Australia

[1] Rampersand managing partner Paul Naphtali says the federal government is looking into the possibility of getting rid of the capital gains tax on startups.

[2] Government backbencher David Coleman recommends that private companies less than two years old with an annual revenue of no more than $1 million should be exempted from taxes.

[3] ANZ chair in business growth, and director of the Centre for Business Growth at UniSA Business School Jana Matthews approves of this suggestion and believes it’s a way of encouraging more investors for startups.
