Sky Muster takes the nbn into space to connect 400,000 Australian businesses and homes

[1] The nbn’s first broadband satellite, Sky Muster, successfully lifted into orbit at 6.30am (AEST) the, blasting 36,000kms into space from Guiana Space Centre in South America.

[2] The event, which was broadcast live on the Internet, saw a rocket soar into space with a payload that is critical to the nbn providing fast broadband access in Australia.

[3] Sky Muster will undergo final technical testing ahead of its commercial launch scheduled for mid-2016 – that will see more than 400,000 Australian businesses and homes connected.
