Australia’s Labor wants 2,000 students annually to take out loans for a ‘startup year’

[1] The Australian Labor Party stated are organizing a AU$17.8 million startup initiative which is to motivate a whole new generation of innovators.

[2] Australia boasts of great startups but still has one of the world’s lowest rates of startup formation.

[3] Thus, opposition leader Bill Shorten is urging 2,000 students to participate in a ‘Startup Year’ while they’re still at their universities to “develop their ideas, get business know-how, and connect with finance”.
