Coding to be taught in schools from primary age via Australia’s new digital technologies curriculum

[1] Aussie education ministers on Friday have endorsed the replacement of history and geography with coding in Australia’s new digital technologies curriculum.

[2] This is part of Australia’s education strategy to ensure that 21st century computer coding will be taught in primary schools from Year 5, and programming from Year 7.

[3] The aims is for a greater focus on coding and STEM subjects in schools from the primary level.
