Aussie retailers’ push for data exchange standard goes global

[1] Australian retail operators have pushed for industry-wide standards of data exchange which have resonated globally and resulted in a worldwide effort to make information exchanges with online marketplaces easier.

[2] The project is spearheaded by Dick Smith CIO Paul Keen, and has since gotten the backing of the National Online Retailers Association (NORA) to take the lead role in building the industry schema.

[3] International standards body GS1 and NORA will work together to define the open source API standards – that will help merchants to quickly and easily set up a presence on a marketplace.
