[1] Timothy Pilgrim has been reappointed by the federal government as Australia’s Privacy Commissioner for a further year after his previous tenure expired in the middle of last month.
[2] Just prior to the end of Pilgrim’s previous term, the federal government was considering putting him as Information Commissioner for three months while it considered what to do with the role.
[3] Pilgrim is tasked with overseeing the functions of all three statutory roles in the OAIC – with his current tenure commencing from October 19 this year.
