[1] The first winner of the Samsung Adappt app development competition has been announced – and it is ‘In the Zone’, an indigenous youth support app to deal with mental illness and suicides.
[2] In the Zone offers mindfulness tools to allow young people to draw their mood to share with their peers, and information on nearby support resources.
[3] According to Suicide Prevention Australia CEO Susan Murray, the app can help deal with Australia’s suicide problem where more than 2500 Australians take their own lives every year-with NT topping the list.
