mHealth on the rise, but challenges remain to fulfill potential

[1] Australia’s emerging out-of-hospital-setting-care trend and the increase of smartphone use among clinicians and patients show signs of mHealth propelling in Australia in the near future.

[2] This is according to a study by global analyst firm Frost & Sullivan that indicates the importance of smartphones in driving Australia to new levels in mobile health care.

[3] However, the study also found that the adoption of m-health has many obstacles and continues to be “skewed” towards consumer ended offerings.
