Telstra launches Roku to take on Apple and Google

[1] Telstra has developed a new device a new device that hosts streaming video services – and aims to take on Apple and Google with services such as Netflix.

[2] Fairfax Media has confirmed that the telco giant will launch Telstra TV this September and will have the Roku 2 at its core.

[3] Roku 2 is a device that connects to TVs and hosts apps that play catch-up TV and streaming video services such as Stan, Netflix and YouTube.
