Industry slams govt’s telco network security draft reform

[1] A coalition of industry groups has slammed the Federal Government’s draft legislation into telecommunications infrastructure security with a series of concerns to be looked at.

[2] The coalition includes the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group), Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA), Australian Information and Industry Association (AIIA) and Communications Alliance.

[3] They argue that the Telecommunications and other Legislation Amendment Bill 2015 gives too much power to the government to intervene in operational decisions and demanding commercially sensitive information.
