Australia still unprepared for the digital revolution: Westpac CIO

[1] According to Westpac’s chief information officer Dave Curran, Australia remains unprepared for the “digital revolution” with fewer young Australians taking IT in School.

[2] The CIO made the remarks in a forum held yesterday evening at the University of Technology where he termed the need for change in Australian education as urgent.

[3] The remarks correlate with figures released by ACS that show there’s been a drop in Australian university students studying IT since the release of the first iPhone in 2007.
