[1] CSIRO has partnered with aerospace and engineering company, TAE, to commercialise wearable technology that allows for ‘virtually work’ between field asset maintenance staff and their technical experts off site.
[2] The technology, that will be available to aerospace companies worldwide later this year, involves wearable headset and glasses called the Guardian Mentor Remote (GMR) for remote technical assistance.
[3] This enables technical experts to assist field workers ‘virtually’ and not rely on phones or spending time and money travelling to the field whenever a maintenance job is needed.
