[1] NASA has partnered with Australian Freelancer.com to tap into its freelancers to help design CAD (computer aided design) models used by the Robonaut 2 (R2) on the International Space Station.
[2] The agency is looking at Freelancer.com to help set up crowdsourcing contests for users to participate in solving complex astronauts’ problems and assist in building tools for Robonaut 2.
[3] The Robonaut 2 is the first humanoid robot to enter out space and runs on a supervisory control interface, where the models of the tools will be used.
