ABS issues first survey of Australian cloud use

[1] A new finding by Australia’s official statistics body indicate that media and telecommunications businesses are the country’s most consistent buyers of cloud computing services.

[2] The ABS collected data on the use of cloud services from 6640 Australian businesses for the year 2013-14 year, and released the results today.

[3] Less that one in five Aussie companies are reported to use a paid cloud service, but the proportion of those using cloud services rose steadily between sole traders and small businesses.
