[1] The Queensland budget has been lauded by start-ups and the Australian Computer Society, which praised the renewed commitment to coding in schools and a new Startup Queensland program.
[2] The government has announced a funding of $24m for start-ups as part of its $180m Advance Queensland scheme that would encourage more entrepreneurs to build companies in Australia.
[3] Start-up advocacy group StartupAUS has particularly welcomed the new government’s decision to prioritise start-ups in the budget saying that it would help create thousands of jobs.
