Straight-talking ANZ CTO Patrick Maes signals bank’s intent to partner with more Aussie fintech startups

[1] ANZ’s CTO Patrick Maes says the bank is hoping to partner with Australian fintech startups in order to help resolve global problems relating to the financial services industry.

[2] With the support of Sydney fintech co-working space Stone and Chalk and York Butter Factory’s sponsorships, the bank will start to build on those relationships.

[3] Maes also believes that banks should refrain from taking advantage of the venture capital space.
