[1] Australia’s ambitions to become a serious player among Asia’s tech start-up scene are being overshadowed by Southeast Asian governments’ huge support of a new tech epicentre for the burgeoning market.

[2] Australian government’s May budget made important changes to boost technology start-ups, but the changes have done little to reverse the cutting of research and innovation funding in the 2014 budget.

[3] In the wave of the cuts, Southeast Asia governments piled in large investments to ensure their technology ecosystems thrive.
