Defence extends Optus satellite contract

[1] Australia’s Department of Defence has extended its satellite deal with Optus until 2020 in a new signed contract.

[2] The agreement covers the managed services contract for the C1 satellite, which has been in force since 2003.

[3] The C1 is the Australian Defence Force’s main satellite that supports operations in Australia and the region.
