[1] Despite the lack of money to pay for the initiative, Western Australia’s Public Transport Authority is pushing ahead with plans to install free public wi-fi across the city’s transport system.
[2] The plans for the wi-fi rollout in April was revealed by Transport Minister Dean Nalder who has directed the PTA to ask ISPs to set up a wi-fi network for the use of WA commuters – for free.
[3] Once the project gets the green light, city’s public transport users can expect to see the first trial installations to turn up at Esplanade and Perth railway stations, among other places.
