[1] The Department of Health is planning to hold a training and promotion campaign from January 2016 in renewed efforts to address under-utilisation of electronic health records by the clinical community.
[2] The federal government’s $1 billion e-health scheme – originally dubbed the personally controlled electronic health record (PCEHR) has since rebadged myHealth Record has been struggling since 2012.
[3] Ahead of the May 2015 budget, Health Minister Susan Ley said the government would give all Australians an account by default, but many clinicians don’t see enough value in the system.
