[2] The push by the coalition to toughens Aust cyber safety net comes from statistics showing that there are more than 2000 reported serious cyber incidents each year, with many more going unreported.
[3] The planned new laws will bring in fines of up to $250,000 to force telcos to take stiffer measures to head off cyber attacks, and ensure the security of stored and transmitted data.
