[1] The NSW government has met its $100m electronic policing commitment in its 2015 budget with the significant new funding to bust congestion of the state’s roadways and equip cops with new technology.
[2] The flagship IT initiative of Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian’s first budget is a $100 million ‘policing for tomorrow’ fund towards electronic law enforcement tools.
[3] Police Minister Troy Grant has indicated that the funding could be used in rolling out tablets, mobile fingerprint scanners and hand-held devices like the ‘TruNarc’.
