[1] The Attorney-General’s department has disclosed for the first time a list of countries the federal police shared with stored telecommunications data on Australian citizens.

[2] This further soars the metadata debate as the latest annual report of law enforcement agencies’ use of the Telecommunications and Interception Act was just tabled seven months late without explanation.

[3] The TIA Act allows law enforcement agencies to to request phone, internet and location data on Australians from telcos without requiring a warrant.
