Female participation in tech fails to increase, despite industry push

[1] Figures from the Australian Computer Society and Deloitte’s digital pulse report show that only 28% of women are in ICT and actually paid 20 per cent less than men.

[2] The number of women aspiring to join the Australian tech industry has not increased because many view it as highly technical and doesn’t have a comprehensive purpose.

[3] Microsoft Australia managing director Pip Marlow believes it’s of utmost importance to motivate young women about IT.
