[1] According to analyst firm, IDC, Australian Government ICT spending is set to surpass $6.2 billion by 2018.

[2] This is attributed to the continued primary focus of IT investments aimed at driving cost savings and efficiency gains, with third platform investments also gaining significance.

[3] Last year, the ICT spending reached $5.8 billion, with IDC saying that it will reach a 1.7 per cent five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) to 2017.
