Aussie companies to spend $2.5 billion on datacentres in 2015: Gartner

[1] Gartner’s annual CIO survey has shown that Australian organisations are set to spend $2.5 billion on data centre systems in this year – an increase from $2.3 billion in 2014.

[2] This includes spending on enterprise network equipment, enterprise communications applications, servers and external controller-based (disk) storage.

[3] Despite this spending increase, the number of Australia data centres continues to drop as businesses in Australian are more focused on improving datacentre economics, coupled with agility and management.
