Melbourne: ‘Most liveable’ city and now seeks to be a ‘smarter city’

[1] Melbourne City has been listed as one of 16 cities chosen for the IBM Smarter Cities Challenge Grant.

[2] This will mean that a team of IBM experts will work with the City of Melbourne on data analysis to assist the city to make better and informed decisions to manage extreme events.

[3] Melbourne will also be one of just three international cities that will be given direct access to historic and current Twitter data about the city.
