Netflix steals Foxtel’s throne but Aussies still sneaking into US service

[1] A new research from Australian budgeting app Pocketbook shows that US streaming giant Netflix has overtaken Foxtel as the video subscription service of choice in Australia.

[2] The research also noted that the local arrival of Netflix has done little to curb Australians from sneaking into its larger US catalogue.

[3] Netflix has already notched up 39 per cent of the paid video subscription market since its launch on March 24 in Australia, with Foxtel coming close at 38 per cent.
