Sydney Uni researcher flies self-docking drone

[1] Daniel Wilson, a PhD researcher from the University of Sydney, has successfully managed to develop a drone that can autonomously dock mid-air.

[2] The new drone system could be used for any application that requires highly accurate positioning, relative to a static or moving target.

[3] The most remarkable addition is the use of two off-the-shelf UAVs kitted out with customised software built on the Simulink platform.
