[1] Australia’s Customs and Border Protection has revealed that it will soon install 92 facial recognition terminals in international airports.
[2] This is part of an $18 million contract with Portuguese smart-gate manufacturer Vision-Box, which means switching of smart-gate vendors for Customs – Vision-Box rival Morpho.
[3] The new Vision-Box machines will be installed in departure terminals within eight international airports and allow passengers to scan their passport and continue through rather than approach an immigration desk.
