[1] A digital economy in a global survey conducted by Chinese networking firm Huawei has ranked Australia 12th among 50 leading countries for its internet connectivity and adoption.
[2] According to Huawei, its Global Connectivity Index (GCI) is an indicator of which countries are best placed to embrace the digital economy and is a technological planning reference for policy makers.
[3] The survey, which was released at the Global Analyst Summit in China, takes into account networking, computing and online storage capacity, as well as e-commerce activity and service demand.
