[1] auDA, the body responsible for the management of the .au namespace, has revealed that it’s considering allowing second-level domain registrations such as ‘myname.au’.
[2] Presently, the .au namespace is split into a small number of second level domains (2LDs), such as id.au for individuals, and .com.au and .net.au for commercial entities and traders.
[3] The auDA’s names policy panel is considering whether to open up the second level that will result in names such as stephenwithers.au or qantas.au.
