[1] The Australian Federal Government has made registrations on the “Do Not Call” Register indefinite, after the passing of the move through both houses of parliament.
[2] The Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) has been pushing for registrations on the Do Not Call Register to be indefinite for a couple of years.
[3] Consumers were previously required to re-register a phone number every eight years, and so, the new requirement will cut regulation costs and save consumers from having to re-register to avoid annoying calls.
