[1] Telstra is planning to acquire Australasia’s leading media services provider, Globecast Australia.

[2] The acquisition, which is subject to ACCC review prior to completion, is part of Telstra’s strategy to develop better capabilities in media services for its customers in the broadcasting industry.

[3] Globecast Australia’s distinctive reputation for the delivery of media services, especially over satellite platforms, was noticed by Telstra who wanted such a company to drive its business strategy.
