iiNet cops $204,000 fine for dodgy ads

[1] The nation’s No. 3 internet provider iiNet has been fined $204,000 for its failure to adequately advertise the fine details on some of its broadband plans.

[2] Two infringement notices were issued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to iiNet after it omitted key details of the total minimum price of its Naked Broadband 250GB plan.

[3] The controversial advertisement had indicated the minimum total price, but contrary to the Australian consumer law, it was not prominently displayed.
