Vocus to pay $US58.8 million for increased capacity on Southern Cross cable

[1] Software company Vocus is planning to boost its data capacity ten-fold after entering into a $US58.8 million purchase agreement to use the underwater cable which connect US, Australia and New Zealand.

[2] Vocus purchased the additional capacity on the Southern Cross cable to help the company meet swelling demand for internet.

[3] In the purchase terms, the capacity will be allocated and paid in annual installments over a period of six years from December 2015 and run up to 2030.
