Brocade acquires Riverbed ADC to bolster virtual delivery services

[1] Brocade has announced that it will acquire the SteelApp product line of Riverbed Technology in an all-cash asset transaction.

[2] SteelApp is a virtual application delivery controller (ADC) for enterprise, e-commerce and cloud applications that controls traffic to and from applications for better application delivery.

[3] In the deal, assets of the SteelApp business unit will be acquired by Brocade, and SteelApp development and field personnel will join Brocade.
