Vocus and Spark form NZ joint venture

[1] Vocus Communications, an Australian fiber network and datacenter company, has partnered with Kiwi telco Spark New Zealand to form Connect 8, a new construction joint venture.

[2] Under the deal, Spark will acquire half of Connect 8 and Vocus the same, at an agreed level of annual construction spend to the joint venture.

[3] Vocus chief executive James Spencely said the deal would help raise its earnings from its construction division.
