Queensland facing obesity ‘state of emergency’ says head of Australian Medical Association Queensland

[1] Australian Medical Association Queensland (AMAQ) president Shaun Rudd reiterated that Queensland is close to an obesity “state of emergency” because they drink and eat too much.

[2] The group is campaigning for the prohibition of fast food outlets near new schools as well as nightclubs from serving energy drinks mixed with alcohol.

[3] Revising the IT services from hospitals and helping the residents create reformative healthcare plans are also part of the group’s main objectives.
