Indigenous face of Australia a big hit with Wikipedia

[1] Going back to May last year, the most popular page on Wikipedia was “indigenous Australian” for eight days in a row.

[2] The 4.7 million views recorded on May 24 may have been caused by the government’s announcement of cuts in programs intended to benefit the indigenous population and the Naia story.

[3] According to the news website Quartz, the compiler of the list, the above reasons piqued the interest of millions of Australians.
