[1] A group engineers from the University of Queensland (UQ) and Vision Australia have designed a robotic soccer ball to ensure that visually impaired individuals can socially participate in soccer games.
[2] Dubbed as “Interactive Ball (I-Ball)”, the researchers equipped the ball with motion sensors, speakers and a tiny UQ-developed controller that can be prearranged for each player.
[3] The I-Ball is such an exciting technology and it’s been highly recognized by the Ian Potter Foundation and the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology advancement office.
