IBM Australia names a managing director

[1] IBM Australia has appointed a new managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Kerry Purcell, replacing the interim chief¸ Jeffrey Rhoda.

[2] Until his appointment, Mr Purcell was the managing partner of IBM Japan global business services, a position he held for three years.

[3] Mr Purcell was picked because of his wide experience and excellent performance, especially his record of pushing many Japanese businesses and government clients to adopt IBM services.
