Australian Government communications network could be sold

[1] New information has revealed that the federal government’s high-speed Intra Government Communications Network (ICON) could be sold.

[2] ICON links 88 government agencies at 400 sites in a 150,000km of fibre.

[3] ICON was earmarked for possible sale in the mid-year budget review as part of the push to streamline services and cut government costs.
