The world needs more internet freedom, not less

[1] To ensure that the internet is as free as we want it to be, we should keep an eye on government’s practices towards the internet.

[2] Based on the Freedom on the Net report, Australia is ranked as the 17th country in internet freedom.

[3] The country is highly spoken of when it comes to internet access and usage; however, the Abbott government’s data retention proposal poses a major threat to the freedom.
