‘Little short of frightening’: Australian telcos protest citizen metadata access

[1] Australian telcos have said that Australian citizens should not access their internet and phone metadata.

[2] A journalist had a complaint to the federal Privacy Commissioner regarding accessing metadata in Telstra.

[3] The telcos fear that if commissioner went with the journalist’s favor, then it might open similar requests from the public, which will be a huge problem to the firms.
